Reordering pulldown buttons in toolbar

Hello lovely people of the pyRevit forum,

I’m running into some issues with reordering pulldown menus, I seem to be albe to pull it off for stacks and pushbuttons, but seemingly not for Pulldown menu’s.

I’ve tried the things mentioned in:

How can I re-order my toolbar icons

I am trying to re-order these two icons, but whatever i do, they appear in this order, is it by alphabetical order by force ? I guess not, i believe there is something i miss [image]

But that does not seem to work.

What am I doing wrong here?

• Have you tried without the separator?

• Note that sometimes, the reload does not work well and you have to restart revit when you are editing bundle.yaml files to rearrange buttons

Both are without a seperator now, but only one of them is fixed after a reboot of revit.
It’s progress I suppose but it’s strange that it’s inconsistent now

Hi Chris.
You have to put the file extension .yaml after bundle
“bundle.yaml” is the correct filename.
Then it works.

That actually seems to break more than it fixes

After suffling around with the .yaml after the bundle It did come up as correct eventually… without the.yaml at the end

I’m not quite sure how it’s fixed, but this seems to be the right path! Thank both for helping out so quickly. Can’t wait to make the switch for the entire company to pyRevit

Please turn your filename extension ON.

Then it should look like this:

Notepad++ is a very nice programm to operate with yaml und script files.
