is this interface possible…? i would need it for a script driven by a boolean.

Is this something that runs once after being switched on? Or something that runs continuously after being switched on?
If it is the first, you don’t need a switch - just a button.
If it is the latter, look at a smart button that toggles an IUpdater on and off.

connected with viewsettings like highlight planregions…
