PyRevit Installation - admin vs no-admin

Hi,

I would like to know what is the main difference(s) between the PyRevit installation version that requires admin permission versus the one that does not require one ?

Thank you

admin installer uses different install locations and is mostly just relevant if you have a multi-user computer and want the same installation to be accessible regardless of the user that is logged in. Also needed for scripted distribution or using Microsoft Intune or other enterprise software. This is dependent on the security policies that are in place.

So the simple answer I guess is if you only have a single user account on the computer and your installation method works with the non-admin installer go with that. If non-admin doesn’t work for whatever reason, use the admin one.

You get the same result in Revit either way.
