Thank you everyone who contributed to the pyRevit release.. great work!
Wanted to bring up an issue I encountered, printed information doesn’t show in the output window. I tested it on multiple tools that have worked in previous versions and all of them now show an empty window.
I would appreciate if someone points me towards a thread with a solution or shed any light of this issue if others encountered it too.
A little more input is needed to actually help out, like Revit version and command type minimum.
Run pyrevit env in powershell/cmd, and share the result. What kind of print function are you using, e.g. print, output or logger?
I have a similar issue of an empty output window, but only once in a while; most of the time it’s fine. When it does happen, and I’m trying to save the output, I’m getting this prompt:
Error saving file: CoreWebView2 members cannot be accessed after the WebView2 control is disposed.
On 7.0.0 the output window regularly remains empty.
From observations: the same model, when applying the script in R23, produced an empty window, but in R27 - a normal report.
But the problem isn’t with R23 itself, as within R23, some scripts display blank windows, while others display the correct information. I haven’t run many scripts on R27 yet, so I haven’t collected any statistics.
I can create an issue, but the problem is I don’t know what data to provide. When I run the script with Ctrl, the logs aren’t displayed in the window.
Thank you for your message.. I admit I haven’t yet tested it well in R27.. let me do that today and then I’ll come back and confirm my findings. Thanks again!
I’m currently testing the latest build 7.0.1.26305. The problematic scripts are now displaying information correctly. I’ll keep testing. If the problem persists, I’ll immediately create an issue.
