Not sure if I should propose my new plugin to the official release

Hi everyone
I found myself working on a wood framing plugin for Revit, after a week of wrestling with AI, Im finally feel its good enough to be shared, and its live on github if you want to check it out https://github.com/Swichllc/PyRevit-Wood-Framing-extension.git
Quick demo here -https://youtu.be/hA6lZou8Xfk
My question is more of should I try to create a PR and suggest it would be part of pyrevit or keeping it as an extensions users can download is the right way to go.
I did test it as dropdown menu in the modify panel next to 3D - but honestly I dont know if its useful for enough people to be part of the official release.
So Im here for other people opinion (or to find out someone already done it)
Thanks

A few notes here:

  • Too specific for main set of tools, so yes, an external extension,
    • change your git structure and make the .tab folder at the root + add extension.json
    • make a branch from the Pyrevit repo
    • add your extension details to extensions.json
    • make a PR against develop branch

Also, just saw that today, Roi Hanson released a similar pyrevit set of tools, you may want to compare copies

Thanks I will do that, and yes, Its me, same person, different user names

Did a quick ‘guide’ with a bit more details

Perfection!!

Thank you

It’s perfect. Maybe it’s useful with the LGS wall. Sometimes, I use Revit to model studs and runners for gypsum walls like this.

Thank you @nguyenthanhson
and although the plugin is designed for wood framing, you can still choose the metal stud families, and tweak it a bit - will still be a lot faster than manually modeling it
let me know how it worked for you Revit AI Chatbot Alternative Released for Free | Roi H. posted on the topic | LinkedIn
