Doc-syncing and doc-synced issue

Has anyone tried to use doc-syncing and doc-synced hooks in their extension? I Have been testing them but seems like these hooks are not firing. Even a simple print statement does not work.

i have been using them more regularly now. your folder structure should look like this

Turns out the script is silently failing for ANSI characters.
