Banned by OpenAI within days of tunneling an MCP between Codex and PyRevit 7.0.0

Hi there! I’m unsure if this is the correct place for this, so I apologize in advance if it is not. I was wondering if any other users may have the same issue:

For the firm I work at, I was the tester for tunneling Codex to Revit via an MCP with PyRevit 7.0.0. The owner of the firm was aware of this, as well as IT. It went well, and the owner of the firm purchased a ChatGPT Business account with 6 seats. 4 of these seats were set up with the MCP tunnel.

Two users were banned 4 days later, 20 minutes apart. One user didn’t touch her account and got a Violation of Terms email, and the second user used it for 2 prompts to get dimensions for his project and got the same email and ban as well. Our IT department did not notate any flags or breaches within our security, and myself and the other MCP-connected seat still have access and are able to continue working.

The question at hand isn’t necessarily about fighting the wrongful OpenAI violation, so much as I am wondering if any other users who have set up an MCP via Codex and 7.0.0 for an AI Assisted workflow in Revit have experienced similar issues with being wrongfully banned by OpenAI for doing nothing.

I hope this made any sense and I appreciate any insight and discussion!

Never heard of anyone with this issue since we released the first mcps back in feb-april Last year.

Weird

Thank you for the reply, Jean-Marc!

I thought so as well! I’m more so thinking it has to be some sort of bug with OpenAI, as I have been finding reports from this year stating that ChatGPT users’ business accounts have been getting falsely flagged and banned when committing no wrong doing.

P.S., I’ve been loving the software and have been loving the connectivity PyRevit provides and brings to my workflow – thank you for what you do!
